A new era of alignment.
A new era of stewardship.
A new era of action.
As climate change, wildfire and development put unprecedented pressure on our forests, the institutions, workforce and financing needed to steward them are under intensifying strain. In response, the 9th American Forest Congress forged a shared vision to restore our forests.
That was our starting point. The New Era for Forests is now.
We are a movement of people who depend on, work in and care about forests–committed to advancing proactive, climate-informed stewardship and ready to propel that shared vision forward. We are a movement for healthy, resilient forests across America. And there’s a place for everyone in this New Era for Forests.

● Our Guiding Principles
01
Forest are a vital resource
Forests are key to our collective health and prosperity. They provide us with clean water, breathable air and dependable livelihoods.
02
Stewardship cannot be done alone
Wildfires cross boundaries. We have to, too. In the wake of the 9th American Forest Congress, we’re building a sector community committed to the future of our forests.
03
We need a long-term plan
Our wellbeing–and that of our future generations–depends on responsibly protecting, restoring, stewarding and utilizing our forests.
Turn vision into action in this new era.
